Weightless Thoughts Post

After the fun of the weekend I have been vastly lacking in inspiration today.

Don't you just hate those restless days when you have constant butterflies in your stomach and you can't stop them. You don't know what to do with yourself.. and you can't concentrate on anything, not even day dreaming...

It's that light headed, high hearted, wandering and waiting feeling.

When I feel like this, I tend to visit 'Lolita' and scroll through her archives. I think it has something to do with the still and calm of her images. I also drink lots of herbal tea and listen to radio in the middle of the night; it tends to ease my flickering thoughts.
How do you bring yourself back down to the ground??

(Images linked via Lolita. I will try for a less airy post tomorrow, any advice will be welcome, I'm sure everyone has though awful in between days... perhaps I ought to just man up?)

  2. wine and kisses... a glass of wine and soft kisses can always calm me down...but if I dont have the boy around for kisses... i sit on the couch wrapped in a blanket with my wine and just listen to the world around me...

This is a hard question to answer because i have so many different types of restlessness... I hope you have a day full of happiness and creativity tomorrow

  6. Those images are grounding for sure! When ever I am feeling a bit disjointed I like to take a walk and let my mind wander...or watch a movie to escape a bit from reality :)

  10. i agree with jenna lee about having so many different kinds of restlessness. sometimes just going outside helps, whether it be doing something active, like running, or just sitting on a doorstep, feeling the breeze on my skin is enough to make me feel alive. other days curling up in bed or in an armchair with hot tea and drinking it slowly helps. or putting on music and lying in stillness, fighting the urge to grab my laptop. if i give in, writing almost always does the trick too. writing about anything, even if it feels uninspired at first, usually turns into something that lifts my spirits and sends inspiration back to me.

hope that helps. your blog is lovely as ever :)
