Fairtrade Fortnight is currently underway. (28 Feb - 13 Mar 2011)
I have been interested in fair trade in a while now, and aim to buy fair trade wherever possible.
The tea-bags, coffee and hot-chocolate in our house are always fair-trade. This is because they are probably the easiest fair-trade products to come by - but also because ones tea and coffee breaks should always be guilt free and a little indulgent!
I fully intend to continue fair-trade fortnight for the rest of the year!
(And, not that Starbucks need anymore publicity but.. out of the big guns coffee chains(costa, nero etc) Starbucks it is the one to serve fair trade by default...)
eek, didn't know about fairtrade fortnight..oh well, not to late to join in and i did melt fairtrade chocolate onto my shrove tuesday pancakes!
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment on my blog. I'd love for you to enter the giveaway i'm doing right now xox
This is a great idea! I didn't know about fairtrade fortnight but I am going to do my own for the next two weeks!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great ethic to have about - it's definitely something that's been on my own radar. Thanks for exposing us to Fairtrade Fortnight, though!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! The selection of fair trade and organic stuff is so much better in the UK, than here in Norway. When I lived in Glasgow, I could almost entirely live on organic and a lot of fair trade. Here it's just the odd organic vegetable every once in a while and the few fair trade products we get are british....
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks for sharing about the Fairtrade fortnight:)

I try to be cognoscente of supporting companies that believe in fair trade. Have you heard of Equal Exchange? They're definitely a company that I try to purchase from and their products are dellllicious. So happy I found your blog! :)
